Overview of Training (Click to download the Overview PDF)

The Americans with Disabilities Act Training Network (ATN) presents a series of nine essential workshops that were developed by the Disability and Business Technical Assistance
Center (DBTAC-Northeast) at Cornell University. These workshops are being offered in Region 10 (Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington) by the DBTAC Northwest
at the University of Washington.

The overall purpose of the training is to promote diversity and a broader understanding of people with disability. The programs seek to actively engage participants in building awareness and creating strategies to move toward full participation of people with disabilities in American society. Instructor-led presentations, individual and interactive group activities, video clips and case studies enhance participants’ understanding of the material.

Trainers are professionals in specific aspects of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Training sessions will be offered at the DBTAC Northwest Regional Training Center in Mountlake Terrace, Washington, on a regular basis. Training can also be presented in your local area upon request by contacting the DBTAC Northwest Regional Office. Check our website for the upcoming training schedule and to request training.
